Cobh, situated on Great Island, is a charming and picturesque harbour town with a long and respected maritime history dating from the 17th century. It is a mere 30-minute drive from Cork city, with its international airport and ferry port. Catering for all ages, Cobh offers a wide variety of things to do and places to visit.

It was the last port of call of the Titanic on its ill-fated maiden voyage. There is a heritage walk, memorial, and museum all within walking distance of Bella Vista, enabling you to step back to in time to the day the Titanic last saw land. To this day, Cobh is regularly visited by the world's super-liners such as the QE2 and the 'Splendour of the Seas'.

Centrally located on a quiet road only a 3-minute walk from the town centre and waterfront, Bella Vista is situated above the town with wonderful views of St. Coleman's cathedral and the harbour. We are also the last stop on the Cobh heritage trail so why not drop by and enjoy a coffee or a refreshing drink in our modern conservatory or rustic bar and lounge? Sit and watch the cruise liners passing below you and docking in the town. Private car parking is available in this private but central location.

The town itself is ideally situated for such diverse activities as sailing, windsurfing and deep-sea angling. There are also a number of championship golf courses within thirty minutes drive.
Cobh offers various scenic walks passing by the colourful town buildings or in the unspoiled countryside. The East Cork Bird Trail winds around Great Island, Fota Island, and across to Carrigtwohill. This unspoilt trail is home to over 70 species of animal and bird-life and is a veritable delight for the bird-watch enthusiast.

For the energetic visitor, activities such as sailing, power-boating, wind surfing, rowing, hiking, and horse riding are available, as is angling for the professional and amateur alike. For all the family, Cobh is located close to both Fota Wildlife Park and Trabolgan. For the more leisurely holiday, enjoy the many splendid walks Cobh has to offer, relax in its parks and drink in its many pubs. Explore the fascinating Cobh Heritage Centre and the magnificent cathedral or meander through Cobh's museums and heritage sites. Finally, for the more artistic enjoy the exhibitions and regular concerts in the Sirius Centre or make the short drive to Cork to the theatres on offer there. The nightlife also holds many exciting choices, with a variety of music and craic with of course the traditional Irish 'Céad Míle Fáilte' in every bar.
